For a minute I’d like to say thank you.
People have lost loved ones.
And you, oh soldiers, have fought long and hard.
To give Canada the freedom they want.
Red flowers my head, on my heart and on my face.
For a minute I’d mellow,
To say thanks.
Canada became what we all know it is,
True, North, Strong, and Free.
Some have fallen, some have risen.
Some have failed, some have succeeded.
You have all fought for us today.
And flowers bloom.
Poppies red, Flowers Blue.
Oh mighty soldiers,
