Red Deer RCMP searched the banks of the Red Deer River in the area of the Gaetz Avenue bridge and at Three Mile Bend yesterday afternoon after a report from the public that a man may have entered the water at the Gaetz Avenue bridge.

The report came in shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and RCMP are currently working to verify whether a person did enter the river.

Police searched the area and did not find anyone who was in distress.
