Red Deer RCMP arrest man during break and enter in progress

Police observed a male force entry into the premises and attempt to steal copper wire

On Jan. 22nd at approximately 1:30 a.m., Red Deer RCMP arrested a man during a break and enter in progress at a business in the area of 77th St. and Gaetz Ave.

Following two previous break-ins at the same location, police were conducting surveillance, based on investigation into those incidents. On Jan. 22nd, police observed a male force entry into the premises and attempt to steal copper wire.

Riley Badger, a 23-year-old male from Red Deer was charged with six Criminal Code offences, including two counts of break and enter, two counts of theft under $5,000, possession of break in instruments and mischief under $5,000.
