Blackfalds RCMP respond to reports of shots fired

Witnesses report seeing a black SUV leave the area

On July 19th at 6:45 a.m, RCMP in Blackfalds responded to a report of shots fired. Two loud shots had been heard by a resident, who subsequently observed a lone male depart in a small black SUV. The SUV left the area at a high rate of speed. When RCMP arrived on scene, it was determined two shots from a shotgun had been fired, one hitting the residence the other a vehicle parked in the driveway. RCMP believe the shots to this vehicle and residence were a targeted attack and the community of Blackfalds is not at risk.
