It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Melanie Teresa Wright, age 57 years, on September 23, 2018.
She was born in Brockville, ONT on January 8, 1961 to Mel and “Ann” (Nee Hayes) Fawcett.
She is survived by her mother Ann Lein of Rimbey, Alberta; sisters Angela Fawcett of Red Deer, Alberta and Elizabeth Fawcett of Rimbey, Alberta as well as her seven children, Brandie (Jason) Radtke, Laura Derasp, David (Courtney) Smith, Justin (Brodie) Derasp, James Wright, Bethanie (Blake) Wright and Micheal (Tilly) Wright all of Red Deer, Alberta and 3 step children, Jamie Metz of Creston BC, Christa Flynn and Cody Metz of Lethbridge AB. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren with 1 on the way as well as many neices, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Melanie was predeceased by her father Mel Fawcett and her step father Ralph Lein. Memorial will also be held at the Parkland Funeral Chapel located at 6287 67A St in Red Deer, AB on November 2, 2018 at 11:00 am with a lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
