Annette (nee Coston)

Sept. 2, 1930 – Aug. 27, 2017

Annette Mercier of Red Deer passed away peacefully at the age of 86 after a lengthy illness. Annette will be deeply missed by her children; Larry (Patricia) Coston, Brian (Janice) Coston and Cheryl (Dale) Devereaux, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annette was predeceased by her son Stephen Coston (Dec. 1980); her husband’s John Coston (Dec. 1986) and Norman Mercier (Jan. 2011). She is survived by her brothers John (Virginia), Mike (Julie) Pasieka and sister Eileen (Jorge) Garcia. Annette was born north of Edmonton (Chipman, AB) and spent most of her adult life raising a family of four with her husband John in Calgary while working at The Bay and Dome Petroleum. She travelled extensively in her later years, enjoying Mexico, Hawaii, the Far East. She wintered in Yuma for many years where she met Norman and enjoyed 10 wonderful years in Spruce Grove, AB with his large loving family.

The family would like to thank Virginia Asister for her wonderful care and companionship to Annette over the last four years, she was truly an Angel. Mom’s celebration of life will be held in Red Deer at the Holiday Inn and Suites South, 33 Petrolia Drive on Friday, September 8th at 1:30 p.m. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Annette’s family through www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
