Janet Will has been named as the winner of the Lottery Bonus Prize draw in the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation’s Hospitals’ Home Lottery 2011.

The prize had three elements to it and she can only have one of them. Her choice of prize is either a spot in the 2012 Wayne Gretzky Fantasy Camp, a weekend excursion for the winner and a guest to join NHL stars Jim Vandermeer, Derek Morris, Brandon Sutter and Trent Hunter in Phoenix for a round of golf and bass fishing in Peoria, or she can take $10,000 cash.

“Amazing! I was not expecting that at all. Wow, you are kidding!” she said, adding that she needed to take some time to make her decision.

The Bonus Prize draw was one of 469 prizes in the lottery worth over $1 million retail. The remainder of the prizes are to be drawn at the lottery grand prize show home in Red Deer at 52 Sisson Ave. on June 24.

Cutoff for ticket sales was June 12.

The lottery is a fund raising initiative of the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation.

The proceeds will be used to assist in the purchase of 18 new patient monitors for the Red Deer Regional Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The new equipment will enable clinicians to have the ability to virtually monitor multiple patients and change in their conditions no matter where the patients are located in the central zone.

Prize winners will be displayed in the Red Deer Express on June 29. Names will also be available on the Lottery web site at www.hospitalslottery.com.
