Red Deer RCMP have man in custody after shots fired

Shots fired in a home at Mustang Acres earlier this afternoon

Red Deer RCMP have one man in custody after responding to a report of shots fired in a home in the Mustang Acres mobile home park shortly before 1 p.m. today.

At 12:50 p.m. on March 7th, RCMP responded to a report that two shots had been fired in a residence in the area of 68th St. and 59th Ave. They immediately began their search for a suspect, and located him on foot nearby. By 1:10 p.m., he had been taken into custody without incident.

No one was injured in this incident and RCMP continue to investigate. No further information is available at this time, but RCMP are asking witnesses who may have seen the incident to contact police. An update will be issued as more information comes available.
