Mitchell Thomas Huber, 23, was taken into custody without incident this afternoon at a residence in Blackfalds in a joint high-risk arrest effected by Blackfalds and Red Deer RCMP officers.

Red Deer RCMP were searching for Huber, wanted on 10 warrants after being identified as the suspect who allegedly fired a gun at another driver in a road rage incident on Aug. 17th.

The alleged incident occurred at the intersection of 57th Ave. and Kerry Wood Drive the evening of Aug. 17th, when a man exited his car and confronted the suspect, who had been driving aggressively. The suspect truck was later located on fire on Township Road 400 north of Blackfalds and had to be extinguished by firefighters. The truck had been reported stolen out of Whitecourt and the license plate on it had also been stolen separately out of Whitecourt.

Huber faces 10 Criminal Code charges including discharging a firearm with intent, careless use of a firearm and other weapons charges, three counts of possession of stolen property and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
