Dream Home Lottery raises awareness of Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre

Been in the market for a million-dollar dream home?

The Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre launched its first Dream Home Lottery last Friday.

As well as a luxury three-story home worth more than $1.5 million on 57 Larratt Close, the Lottery offers the chance to win a long list of desirable prizes, such as a GMC Cadillac XT4 and a 2019 Toyota Camry SE.

Other prizes include groceries for a year, fuel for a year, a family portrait package and much more.

Alyssa Truant, the Centre’s marketing and community outreach co-ordinator, said the Lottery helps raise awareness about the Child Advocacy Centre.

“It gets our name out there, letting people know we are here for them, to support them,” she said.

All the money raised goes toward the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre, which opened in Red Deer last November.

The Centre works to change the way Central Alberta responds to child abuse. It works in an integrated and trauma-informed environment to treat abused children, youth and families, according to its website.

Most of the money will be put toward building a new facility on the Red Deer College campus.

The fully furnished two-story home has 4,607 square feet of living space on three floors. This includes a large master bedroom with a five-piece ensuite, including a steam shower and stand-alone tub.

There are two large bedrooms with walk-in closets and oversized windows as well as a gourmet kitchen with a side bar and prep area.

The home on is open to visitors daily in December from 1 to 5 p.m.

The deadline to buy tickets for the early bird draw is Jan. 15th and the draw takes place Jan. 31st.

According to the website, the final grand prize house draw will be held at noon on March 27th, 2019 at the Dream Home, and only tickets purchased prior to 11 p.m. on March 10th will be eligible for this draw.

For more information and to buy tickets, see the Dream Home Lottery site.
