Update: Charges laid after armed robbery in Blackfalds

On May 1st, 2017 the Blackfalds RCMP reported an armed robbery in the Town of Blackfalds. A subsequent investigation has resulted in the arrest of two adult males and one youth.

Connor Buyar, 18, of Lacombe, has been charged with robbery with a firearm.

Nicholas Gibson, 18, of Red Deer, has also been charged with robbery with a firearm

A male youth from Blackfalds, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with robbery.

The charges stem from an incident on May 1st. Shortly after midnight on Broadway Avenue in Blackfalds, a lone male walking was approached by three males in a black sedan car.

A handgun was produced and pointed at the male, who was relieved of his backpack and contents.

The suspects then fled the scene in the same vehicle. The victim was unharmed in this incident.
