Update: Red Deer RCMP look to identify fraud suspect

Woman has allegedly made fraudulent transactions with a stolen credit card

Thanks to multiple tips from the public, Red Deer RCMP have identified and charged a woman alleged to have made a number of fraudulent transactions with a stolen credit card at several businesses over the course of a month this summer.

RCMP located the suspect on Aug. 21st and took her into custody without incident. At the time of her arrest, she was wanted on a number of outstanding warrants and was in possession of a stolen passport.

In addition to those warrants, 32-year-old Melissa Caylene White also faces possession of stolen property under $5,000 and five counts of fraud.

RCMP are grateful for the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect, and for the active engagement Red Deerians demonstrate every day in reporting crime and suspicious activity.

Red Deer RCMP were looking for public assistance to identify a woman who has made a number of fraudulent transactions with a stolen credit card.

The suspect is reported to have made repeated transactions with the stolen credit card in at least one business over the past few months.
