Red Deer RCMP investigate stolen ATM machine incident

Thieves back truck into Bower Mall, stealing ATM machine

RCMP responded to the report of a break-in at Bower Mall at 5:17 a.m. on March 6th; the investigation determined that a dark blue Ford truck had backed into the north doors of the mall and struck an ATM located near the doors. The collision knocked the ATM off its base and two masked, gloved male suspects then placed the ATM in the truck and fled.

Police determined that the truck fled north on Bremner Ave. and onto 47th Ave., and subsequently recovered the truck where it had been abandoned in a parking lot in the area of 31st St. and 47th Ave. The truck had been reported stolen out of Blackfalds earlier the same morning.
