Police search for armed robber

Lacombe Police investigate armed robbery at the Husky Gas Station on Hwy. 2A

On April 15th, the Lacombe Police Service received a report of an armed robbery at the Husky gas station, located at 5052 Hwy. 2A.

Police responded and learned that a male suspect had entered the store, brandishing a knife, demanding cash and cigarettes.

The male suspect is described as about 6′ – 6’2″ tall, wearing a black, flat brimmed ball cap, large dark sunglasses, with a black bandana covering his face, a baggy dark coloured hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The suspect was able to obtain a quantity of cash and lottery tickets before being interrupted by another customer and fleeing in a gold 1995-1998 Pontiac Sunfire which was operated by a second male and last seen travelling northbound on Hwy. 2.

Police continue to investigate.
