On Feb. 17th at 6:42 p.m. RCMP officers responded to a complaint of a male armed with a handgun in the Glendale area of Red Deer.

Officers set up containment and within a short period of time the suspect male was arrested without further incident.

The suspect was found in possession of a replica handgun.

Formal charges are pending as the investigation continues and names are not being released at this time.
