Golf Town tees off

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a little more selection thanks to Golf Town who opened their doors in Red Deer last week.
“People are golf crazy around here,” said Colin Ferster, manager of Golf Town in Red Deer. “We are very excited to be here in Red Deer.”
Golf Town is Canada’s largest golf retailer.
They offer a wide selection of clubs, bags, balls, apparel, footwear, accessories, gifts, logo merchandise, promotional services and more.
“We have everything to do with golf,” said Ferster. “You want it, we can
get it.”
The Red Deer store includes two state of the art simulators.
“Our customers can try out the equipment before they buy it,” said Ferster.
The store also includes a teaching facility as well as a fully operational club repair and pro shop.
Ferster added the 14,000 square foot store is jam packed with merchandise.
“You can’t compare our selection to anything else – people can expect to be wowed when they come into our store,” he said. “We also have something to fit everyone’s budget.”
Golf Town currently employs about 40-50 people.
“We also have a CPGA (Canada Professional Golf Association) golf pro on staff as well as certified club fitters on staff,” said Ferster.
Golf Town will be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
