Oct 19, 2009 11:02 am | By Johnnie Bachusky | Red Deer Express

Red Deer Mounties have laid charges of possessing child pornography against a local man.

At about 1 p.m. on Oct. 17 the Red Deer city RCMP General Investigation Section and Red Deer City RCMP Street Team executed a search warrant on a residence located in the downtown area of Red Deer.

The lone male occupant in the residence, located in the 4600 block of 48 Ave., was arrested without incident.

RCMP seized quantities of marihuana, cash, child pornography and drug and trafficking paraphernalia.

Morgan Hamilton, 48, of Red Deer, has been charged with production of a substance (cannabis marihuana), possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of child pornography.

Hamilton was released from custody and is set to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Oct. 26.

RCMP continue to investigate.

Soon Morgan may be found not guilty, on these charges roommate(s)!
So the customer is responsible for the computer / hard drive, wrongfully accused!

i say that morgan hamilton is not guilty of the child porn charge, as previously stated, morgan does fix computers for a living, so theirs no ground to stand on seeing as it was not his hard drive that they were on. He has been a long time friend to me and others and we will stand behind him no matter what happens

The imature ramblings of defensive pot heads is not helping this man's situation. The facts are child pornography & drug trafficking are illegal - ignorance of the laws is no excuse!
The real question needing answered is if either of these things belonged to him or someone else? Other occupants not present at the time of the search, customers, etc. This should all be able to be determined easily enough.

does it really matter how whats spelt?? the fact is that i know this man and he just happens to be a computer tech. it stands to reason that he would have in his possesion hard drives that do not belong to him, and how is he supposed to know what a random customer has on their private files??
the facts will come out and the truth will be known. morgan is a great guy and he has my support!
and just for the record is that he has no prior criminal record, hes a good guy. so whats sad?? your assumtions?? yeah i think so!!
